BLOWER MOTOR

Removal and Installation

Vehicles with 4.6L, 5.4L or 6.8L engine
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the battery.







3. Remove the battery tray.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the battery tray.

Vehicles equipped with A/C







4. NOTE: This step must be carried out if the vehicle is equipped with an A/C system.

Move the suction accumulator.
1 Remove the three screws.
2 Move the suction accumulator

All vehicles







5. NOTE: To ease removal, align the flat spot on the blower motor mounting plate with the accumulator.

Remove the blower motor.
1 Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
2 Remove the blower motor housing tube.
3 Remove four screws.
4 Remove the retaining clip.
5 Remove the blower motor.







6. NOTE: Note the location of the blower motor wheel on the blower motor.

Remove the blower motor wheel.
1 Remove the retaining clip.
2 Remove the blower motor wheel.

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
