Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

FUEL INJECTORS

Removal
1. Remove the fuel rail.







2. Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.







3. Discard the O-ring seals on each fuel injector

Installation







1. Install new O-ring seals on each fuel injector.







2. CAUTION: Check for fuel leakage after installation is complete.

NOTE:
- Be sure the fuel injectors and the fuel rail are fully seated.
- Lubricate the new O-ring seals with clean engine oil to aid installation.

Install the fuel injectors into the fuel rail.

3. Install the fuel rail.
