ISSUE
Some Escape Hybrid vehicles built before 9/23/2004 may exhibit a no start condition, followed by the service engine soon light (Engine Icon) coming on. The transaxle control module (TCM) will store diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0A90 (Drive Motor A Performance) or P0A92 (Hybrid Generator Performance).
ACTION
Reprogram the TCM to the latest calibration using WDS release B36.1 or higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at website. Clear DTCs from ALL modules after TCM reprogramming.
