NOTE:
- Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.
- New O-ring seals lubricated with clean mineral oil must be installed before connecting any A/C fitting which has been disconnected.







Removal
1. Remove the condenser to evaporator line.
2. Disconnect the condenser to evaporator spring lock coupling.
3. Inspect the evaporator core orifice for damage before attempting to remove it from the evaporator core inlet line.







4. If the evaporator core orifice is intact, engage the special tool. Hold the T-handle stationary while rotating the tool body to remove the evaporator core orifice.







5. If the evaporator core orifice is broken, screw the end of the special tool into the broken orifice. Hold the T-handle stationary while rotating the tool body to remove the evaporator core orifice.
6. Remove and discard the evaporator core inlet line fitting O-ring.

Installation







1. Lubricate the evaporator core orifice O-rings with clean mineral oil and install the evaporator core orifice using the special tool.
2. Connect the condenser to evaporator line spring lock coupling.
3. Install the condenser to evaporator line.
