Leak Detection Valve: Service and Repair

EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CANISTER VENT SOLENOID

Removal and Installation







1. Disconnect the canister vent solenoid electrical connector.







2. NOTE: A twisting and pulling motion is necessary to remove the canister vent solenoid.

Remove the canister vent solenoid from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister.

3. NOTE:
- Inspect and install new O-ring seals as necessary.
- Lubricate all O-ring seals with clean engine oil.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Carry out the evaporative emissions canister leak test. Evaporative Emission System Leak Test
- Carry out the evaporative emission repair verification drive cycle. Evaporative Emission Repair Verification Drive Cycle
