Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR







Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Release the clamp and detach the air cleaner cover from the air cleaner tray.
3. Lift the air cleaner tray from the grommets and remove the air cleaner tray.
4. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector and detach the electrical connector retainer.
5. Remove the grommet from the air cleaner cover and slide it down the wiring harness to allow the removal of the air cleaner inner cover and the MAF sensor.
6. Detach the air cleaner inner cover and pull the inner cover and MAF sensor out of the air cleaner cover and disconnect the MAF sensor jumper wire.
7. Remove the bolts and the MAF sensor.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
