Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the vehicle security module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.

1. Remove the LR quarter trim panel.
2. Disconnect the vehicle security module electrical connectors.
3. Remove the 2 screws and the vehicle security module.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Once the module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the diagnostic tool into the new module.
