Throttle Body - Spacer
THROTTLE BODY - SPACERRemoval
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube.
4. Drain the engine cooling system.
5. Remove the throttle body.
6. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module.
7. Release the clamp and disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
8. Disconnect the vapor tube.
9. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose fitting at the rear of the intake manifold and the RH valve cover.
10. Disconnect the throttle body (TB) spacer vacuum hose.
11. Release the clamp and remove the coolant hose.
12. Release the clamp and remove the coolant hose.
13. Remove the 4 bolts and the TB spacer.
- Discard the TB spacer gasket.
Installation
1. Install a new TB spacer gasket, position the TB spacer and tighten the 4 bolts in 2 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
2. Install the coolant hose and the clamp.
3. Install the coolant hose and the clamp.
4. Connect the TB spacer vacuum hose.
5. Connect the PCV hose fitting at the rear of the intake manifold and the RH valve cover.
6. Connect the vapor tube.
7. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose and the clamp.
8. Install the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module.
9. Install the throttle body.
10. Install the engine cover.
11. Install the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube.
12. Connect the battery ground cable.
13. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
