5.4L - DOWNHILL ENGINE BUCK WITH SPEED
CONTROL ENGAGED, LOW SPEED DRIVEABILITY
CONCERNS - STOPS OR PARKING MANEUVERS
AND/OR DTC PO61B

2006 E-Series

ISSUE
Some 2006 E-Series vehicles equipped with a 5.4L engine may exhibit a downhill engine buck with the speed control engaged. Vehicles may also exhibit low speed driveability concerns when coming to a stop. This low speed driveablity condition may also occur during parking lot maneuvers when turning the steering wheel to the full right or left lock position. This calibration also includes content to address diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P061B which may occur without a hardware fault present.

ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release B52.15 and higher or B53.4 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2008.1 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.

AUTHORIZATION DECAL NOT REQUIRED.
