Normal Operation
The battery junction box (BJB) supplies voltage to the horn relay on the control and switched sides through fuse 5 (15A) on circuit 460 (YE/LB). When the horn switch is pressed, the horn relay receives the switched ground signal through circuit 1 (DB), energizing the horn relay. The horn switch provides the ground signal through circuit 848 (DG/OG). The horn relay then sends voltage to the horn on circuit 6 (YE/LG), enabling the horn to sound.
Possible Causes
- fuse
- circuit 1 (DB) open
- circuit 6 (YE/LG) open
- circuit 57 (BK) open
- circuit 460 (YE/LB) open
- circuit 848 (DG/OG) open
- horn relay
- horn
- clockspring
- horn switch
- powertrain control module (PCM)
