BATTERY AND CABLES

A 72 ampere-hour, maintenance-free battery, mounted in the forward right-hand side of the engine compartment, is standard.

The battery system consists of the following components:
- battery
- battery cables
- battery case

The auxiliary frame-mounted battery option includes a remotely packaged frame-mounted 75 ampere-hour, serviceable, deep cycle battery. The auxiliary frame-mounted battery is located on the right-hand frame rail to the rear of the B-pillar. The auxiliary frame-mounted battery is used to supply the trailer circuits with power when the vehicle is not running. The auxiliary frame-mounted battery is connected in parallel with the battery. The auxiliary frame-mounted battery uses the same cable as the standard battery.
