Transmission Insulator and Retainer

Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the 2 nuts, 1 bolt and position the hanger aside.
3. Position a high lift transmission Jack under the transmission.





4. Raise the transmission until the retainer studs are separated from the transmission support crossmember.





5. Remove the one bolt and the retainer.

Installation





1. Install the retainer and the one bolt hand-tight.





2. Lower the transmission while aligning the retainer studs with the holes in the crossmember. Allow the full weight of the transmission to rest on the crossmember.
3. Remove the high lift transmission Jack.





4. Install the hanger and the insulator and retainer to extension housing bolts.
^ Tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).





5. Install the insulator and retainer to crossmember nuts.
^ Tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
