Removal and Installation
1. With the ignition ON, press the 4x4 HIGH button on the mode select switch (MSS).
2. With the transmission in the NEUTRAL position, raise and support the vehicle.





3. Disconnect the gear motor encoder assembly harness connector.





4. Remove the bracket bolt and gearmotor encoder assembly mounting bolts and remove the gearmotor encoder assembly.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Apply a coat of multi-purpose grease to the gearmotor encoder assembly.
