ISSUE
Some 2006 F-150 and Mark LT vehicles built between 7/1/2005 and 12/8/2005 equipped with a 5.4L 3V engine may illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) of P0607.
ACTION
If there are other DTCs present with the P0607 address them prior to the P0607 as this is a continuous code only. If only the P0607 is present, reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest level using WDS/IDS release B42.10 and higher or B43.2 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the B43 CD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
