Rear Window Glass

REAR WINDOW GLASS







Removal

Regular and Crew Cab vehicles
1. Remove the rear trim panels.

SuperCab vehicles
2. Remove the child safety seat tether anchors.
3. Remove the rear corner trim panels.

Vehicles with power sliding window

NOTE:
- The power sliding window should be partially open to carry out this procedure.
- Left side shown, right side similar.
- The right side must have the trough cover removed prior to carrying out this step.







4. Remove the left transition block and rubber stop from the sliding window trough.







5. Remove the left transition block from the cable end.
6. Disconnect the swag from the power sliding window.







7. Pull the left cable end out of the sliding window trough.
8. Repeat Steps 4 through 7 for the right side.

All vehicles







9. NOTE:
- Power sliding rear window shown, fixed rear window similar.
- Removal of the rear window glass requires an assistant to hold the rear window glass as it is pushed out.

From inside the vehicle, pull down on the back window glass weatherstrip. Push back the window glass and back window glass weatherstrip from the back window glass opening.







10. Remove the weatherstrip from the rear window.

Installation

All vehicles







1. NOTE: Installation of the rear window requires an assistant to push the rear window glass into the rear window opening from outside the vehicle.

Install the weatherstrip to the rear window.







2. Install the window installation rope on the cab interior side of the rear window weatherstrip ditch. Tie the window installation rope so that it slightly compresses the cab interior side of the rear window weatherstrip.
3. Lubricate the rear window weatherstrip with soapy water.







4. Position the rear window in the rear window opening.
5. Using the assistance of another technician outside the cab, seat the rear window glass and weatherstrip in the rear window opening.
1 Pull the installation rope from the window weatherstrip (technician inside the cab).
2 Push inward and downward on the rear window glass (technician outside the cab).

Vehicles with power sliding window







6. NOTE: Left side shown, right side similar.

Install the left cable end into the sliding window trough.







7. Install the left transition block on the cable end.







8. Install the LH cable swag into the rear sliding window.

NOTE: The right side must have the trough cover installed after carrying out this step.







9. Install the left transition block and rubber stop in the rear sliding window trough.
10. Repeat Steps 6 through 9 for the right side.

SuperCab vehicles
11. Install the child safety seat tether anchors.
12. Install the rear corner trim panels.

Regular and Crew Cab vehicles
13. Install the rear trim panel.
