Normal Operation
The vehicle security module monitors circuits 121 (YE/BK), 122 (YE), and 123 (RD). The vehicle security module receives the correct keypad code. The vehicle security module then sends voltage through circuits 163 (RD/OG) and 118 (PK/OG) to unlock all the doors. The vehicle security module monitors circuits 122 (YE), and 123 (RD). The vehicle security module receives the signal on both circuits at the same time. The vehicle security module then sends voltage through circuit 117 (BK/PK) to lock all the doors. The power door lock actuators operate in either the lock or unlock direction based on which circuit(s) are supplying voltage.

Possible Causes
- circuit 117 (PK/BK) open or short to ground
- circuit 118 (PK/OG) open or short to ground
- circuit 121 (YE/BK) open
- circuit 122 (YE) open
- circuit 123 (RD) open
- circuit 124 (BN) open
- circuit 163 (RD/OG) open or short to ground
- remote keyless entry (RKE) keypad
