Test G: No Communication With the 4x4 Module (GEM)

CAUTION: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.

Normal Operation
In order for the 4WD control module (GEM) to communicate with the diagnostic tool, the operating voltage required to supply the 4WD control module is in a range between 9 and 16 volts.

Possible Causes
^ Power supply circuits: - 1306a (LB/BK) - 1306c (LB/BK)
^ Ignition circuits: - 295 (LB/PK) - 640 (RD/YE) - 1002 (BK/PK)
^ Central Junction box (CJB) fuses:
- 19 (10A)
- 45 (10A)
- 33 (15A)

^ Charging system
^ Battery
