REAR SEAT BACKREST LATCH - 3-DOOR/WAGON

Removal and Installation
1. Disassemble the rear seat backrest.







2. NOTE: Note the routing of the retractor lock bowden cable when removing to aid installation.

Detach the retractor lock cable.







3. Remove the 2 screws and backrest latch.
- To install, tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

4. CAUTION: Check the operation of the safety belt retractor, the cable routing and latch interlock operation before fully assembling the rear seat backrest.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Verify the safety belt retractor operates without excessive effort or binding.
