Liftgate Lock Cylinder

LIFTGATE LOCK CYLINDER

Removal
1. Remove the liftgate latch.







2. File down the liftgate lock cylinder housing to expose the spring and plunger.







3. Remove the spring and plunger. Discard the spring.







4. Remove the liftgate lock cylinder.

Installation







1. Using an M6 tap, cut a thread into the lock cylinder housing.







2. Install the liftgate lock cylinder.
3. Install the plunger.







4. NOTE: Use Threadlock 262 on the top 2 threads below the screw head.

Install an M6 by 6.5 mm (0.25 in) screw to secure the plunger.

5. Install the liftgate latch.
