Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) VALVE







Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the throttle body snow shield.
- Remove the retaining screw.
- Detach the emission tube retainer from the snow shield.
- Remove the snow shield.

3. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
4. Remove the 2 IAC valve retaining screws the IAC valve.
- To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).

5. NOTE: Install a new IAC valve gasket.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
