PINPOINT TEST N: THE O/D OFF INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

N5-N7:

Normal Operation
The overdrive (O/D) off function is controlled by the O/D off switch located on the shifter assembly. When the transmission is placed in the O/D off position, the O/D off switch provides voltage to the powertrain control module (PCM) through circuit 911 (WH/LG). The PCM, upon receipt of the signal, grounds circuit 911 (WH/LG) and the instrument cluster illuminates the O/D OFF indicator.

Possible Causes
- circuit 911 (WH/LG) open or short to ground
- instrument cluster
- PCM
