Normal Operation
Fuse 13 (15A) in the smart junction box (SJB) supplies voltage to the interior lamp/battery saver relay (integral to the SJB). When any door is opened, the door ajar switch closes, signalling the SJB. The SJB monitors the door ajar circuits, and based on the door ajar status, the SJB will supply voltage to the interior lamp on circuit 53 (BK/LB).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 53 (BK/LB) short to voltage
- Circuit 55 (BK/PK) short to voltage
- Circuit 761 (GY/RD) short to ground
- Circuit 765 (YE/BK) short to ground
- Circuit 1312 (LG/BK) short to ground
- Circuit 1314 (YE/LG) short to ground
- Instrument panel dimmer switch
- Door ajar switch
- Instrument cluster
