Engine Coolant Temperature Sender Unit - 2.3L:

Removal and Installation

1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.

3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.

4. Remove the ECT sensor.

^ To install, tighten to 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

5. NOTE: Coat the threads of the ECT sender unit with thread sealant before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
