Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when any wiper mode except OFF is selected, the multi-function switch provides a combination of grounds to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuits 61 (YE/RD), 63 (RD), 65 (DG) and 680 (LB/OG). The SJB interprets this ground combination to determine the desired wiper mode.

Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 61 (YE/RD), 63 (RD), 65 (DG) or 680 (LB/OG)
- A short to ground in circuit 61 (YE/RD), 63 (RD), 65 (DG) or 680 (LB/OG)
- A short together in circuit 61 (YE/RD), 63 (RD), 65 (DG) or 680 (LB/OG)
- Multi-function switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
