Removal and Installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sender unit electrical connector.
4. Remove the ECT sender unit.
^ To install, tighten to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
5. NOTE: Coat the ECT sender unit threads with thread sealant before installing.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
