Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding.

3. CAUTION: Do not loosen the block heater retaining screw more than necessary for removal.

Loosen the block heater retaining screw and remove the block heater.
^ To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs).

4. NOTE: Route the block heater power cable away from hot or rotating components, or damage to the cable can occur.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
