Normal Operation
The VSM communicates with the scan tool through the medium speed controller area network (MS-CAN). Circuits 2180 (WH/BK) (MS-CAN +) and 2181 (BK/YE) (MS-CAN -) provide the network connection to the VSM. The VSM shares the MS-CAN network with the instrument cluster. Voltage for the VSM is provided by circuit 517 (BK/WH). Circuits 57 (BK) and 1205 (BK) provide ground.

- Fuse
- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 517 (BK/WH) open
- Circuit 1205 (BK) open
- Circuit 2180 (WH/BK) open (MS-CAN +)
- Circuit 2181 (BK/YE) open (MS-CAN -)
- VSM
