CHILD SAFETY SEAT TETHER ANCHOR - LATCH, QUAD BUCKETRemoval and Installation
WARNING: All safety belt assemblies (including retractors, belt tension sensors [BTS] if equipped, buckles, shoulder belt height adjusters, [if equipped], child safety seat tether attachments and attaching hardware) should be inspected after any collision. All new belt assemblies should be installed unless a qualified technician finds the assemblies show no damage and operate correctly. Belt assemblies not in use during a collision should also be inspected and new assemblies installed if either damage or incorrect operation is noted. Failure to follow these instructions could increase the risk of injury in collisions.
Left seat
1. Remove the lower anchors and tethers for children (LATCH).
1 Remove the 3 LATCH attachment bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
2 Release the J-clips on the LATCH cover.
3 Remove the LATCH.
Right seat
2. Remove the bolt and the child safety seat tether anchor.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Both seats
3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
4. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
