Normal Operation
The MS-CAN uses an unshielded twisted pair cable, circuits 1847 (WH/OG) and 1848 (PK/OG). The smart junction box (SJB), the audio control protocol (ACP) module and the instrument cluster communicate with the scan tool using the MS-CAN network.

Possible Causes
- Circuit 1847 (WH/OG) open, short to ground or voltage (MS-CAN +)
- Circuit 1848 (PK/OG) open, short to ground or voltage (MS-CAN -)
- Circuit 1847 (WH/OG) (MS-CAN +) and circuit 1848 (PK/OG) (MS-CAN -) shorted together
- SJB
- ACP module
- Instrument cluster
