Normal Operation
The instrument cluster communicates with the scan tool through the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN). Circuits 1908 (WH) (HS-CAN +) and 1909 (BK) (HS-CAN -) provide the HS-CAN network connection to the instrument cluster and circuits 1847 (WH/OG) (MS-CAN +) and 1848 (PK/OG) (MS-CAN -) provide the MS-CAN network connection to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster shares the HS-CAN network with the powertrain control module (PCM), the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module and the four wheel drive (4WD) control module and shares the MS-CAN network with the smart junction box (SJB). Voltage for the instrument cluster is provided by circuits 956 (OG/LG), 1002 (BK/PK) and 3049 (BK/LG). Circuits 57 (BK) and 570 (BK/WH) provide ground.
