Selector Lever





Removal
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Place the selector lever in the (D) position.





3. Gently pry up to remove the upper selector lever trim ring.





4. NOTE: It may be necessary to apply the parking brake in order to remove the top finish panel.

NOTE: If necessary, disconnect the electrical connector from the finish panel.

Remove the top finish panel.





5. Remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly.
1. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever.
2. Remove the selector lever cable from the bracket.





6. Remove the shifter.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Remove the 4 bolts and remove the selector lever assembly.





Installation
1. Install the selector lever assembly.
1. Install the selector lever and the 4 bolts.
^ Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connector.





2. Install the selector lever cable to the selector lever assembly.
1. Connect the selector lever cable end to the selector lever.
2. Install the selector lever cable to the bracket.





3. NOTE: If necessary, connect the electrical connector.

NOTE: If the parking brake was applied to remove the finish panel, release the parking brake.

Install the top finish panel.





4. Install the upper shift lever trim ring.
^ To install the upper shift lever trim ring, orient the thick tab on the driver side front of the shifter and press into place.





5. Adjust the shift cable.
