PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) TRANSCEIVER







Removal and Installation
1. Remove the instrument panel steering column cover.
2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
1 Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn to the ON position.
2 Push the ignition lock cylinder release button with a suitable tool while pulling out the ignition lock cylinder.

3. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.
4. Remove the PATS transceiver screw.
5. Remove the PATS transceiver.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.

6. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the powertrain control module (PCM) again.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
