Test A: The Ignition Switch is Inoperative

Refer to Vehicle/Diagrams, Power Distribution/SJB for schematic and connector information.

Normal Operation
The ignition switch receives fused battery voltage along circuit SBP27 (BU/RD) from smart junction box (SJB) fuse 27 (20A). The ignition switch then sends that voltage out to various systems depending on ignition switch position. The ignition switch has 4 possible states:
^ OFF - No power on any circuits
^ ACC - Power on circuit CDC33 (VT/GN)
^ RUN - Power on circuits CDC34 (WH/OG), CDC33 (VT/GN) and CDC32 (BN/YE)
^ START - Power on circuits CDC35 (BU/WH)

Possible Causes
^ Fuse
^ Circuit open
^ Ignition switch
