Seat Cushion - Rear
SEAT CUSHION - REARDisassembly
All rear seat cushions
1. Remove the bolts and the rear seat cushion.
2. Detach the seat cushion cover plastic retainer and remove the seat cushion cover and foam pad from the cushion frame.
Three-door and 5-door seat cushion covers
3. Remove the hog rings on the LH and RH side of the seat cushion cover and separate the cover from the foam pad.
Four-door and wagon seat cushion covers
4. CAUTION: Use care when separating the trim cover hook-and-loop fasteners to avoid tearing the fasteners from the seat cushion foam pad.
Release the hook-and-loop strips and remove the seat cushion cover from the cushion foam pad.
Assembly
All rear seat cushions
1. Align the seat cushion cover to the foam pad.
Four-door and wagon seat cushion covers
2. Attach the seat cushion cover hook and loop strips to the foam pad.
Three-door and 5-door seat cushion covers
3. Attach the hog rings on the LH and RH side of the seat cushion cover to the foam pad.
4. NOTE: There are detents in the lip of the cushion pan to lock the plastic edge of the seat cushion cover into the seat base.
Attach the cushion frame to the seat cushion cover and foam pad.
5. Depress the seat cushion pan and foam pad downward to assist in attaching the trim cover.
6. Roll the seat cushion cover plastic retainer over on top of itself to clip into the lip of the cushion frame.
7. Press the seat cushion cover plastic retainer firmly into place until an audible snap is heard indicating the plastic clip has engaged the detents in the cushion frame.
8. Use a rubber mallet to tap the lip of the cushion frame causing the detents to lock the retainer in place.
All rear seat cushions
9. Install the rear seat cushion.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
10. Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
