Removal and Installation
WARNING: Use of any other than approved DOT 3 brake fluid will cause permanent damage to brake components and will render the brakes inoperative. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

CAUTION: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with water.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the park brake cable from the brake caliper.
1 Pull back the parking brake lever.
2 Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.
3 Remove the cable conduit retaining clip.
4 Remove the park brake cable from the brake caliper.
3. Remove the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts.
^ To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
4. CAUTION: Cap the brake hose to prevent fluid loss and dirt contamination.
Disconnect the brake hose fitting.
^ To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove the brake caliper.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Bleed the brake system.
