Test S: The Reversing Lamps Are On Continuously

PINPOINT TEST S: THE REVERSING LAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

S1-S2:

S3-S7:

Normal Operation - Manual Transaxle
When the transaxle is placed in REVERSE, the reversing lamp switch routes voltage to the reversing lamps through circuit 15S-LG3 (GN/YE).

Normal Operation - Automatic Transaxle
When the transaxle is placed in REVERSE, the digital transmission range (TR) sensor routes voltage to the CJB and the powertrain control module (PCM) through circuits 15S-TA38B (GN/BU) and 15S-TA38A (GN/BU) respectively. The voltage is then routed to the reversing lamps through circuit 15S-LG9 (GN/BK).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 15S-LG3 (GN/YE) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-LG9 (GN/BK) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-LG9A (GN/BK) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-LG16 (GN/OG) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-TA38 (GN/BU) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-TA38A (GN/BU) short to voltage
- Circuit 15S-TA38B (GN/BU) short to voltage
- Reversing lamp switch
- Digital TR sensor
- CJB
- PCM
