The fourth VIN position is the vehicle restraint-type code.
- D - 5,001-6,000 pounds (GVWR) with driver and front passenger air bags and side impact protection
- Z - 5,001-6,000 pounds (GVWR) with driver and front passenger air bags
Vehicle Line, Series And Body Type:
Positions 5 through 7 indicate vehicle line, series and body type.
