Removal and Installation
1. Remove the radiator grille.
2. Remove the front wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the fender splash shield.
4. Remove the 3 bumper cover-to-fender nuts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
5. Position the front bumper cover forward to gain access to the front fender-to-headlamp assembly bolt.
6. Remove the front fender-to-headlamp assembly bolt.
7. Remove the rocker panel moulding.
8. NOTE: If shims are present during removal, be sure to reinstall shims and check fender alignment.
Remove the 2 lower fender mounting bolts located at the lower rear of the fender.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
9. Remove the 2 fender bracket-to-fender bolts.
- Enter through the wheelhouse opening and reach around the fender bracket to gain access to the fender bracket-to-fender bolt heads.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
10. Remove the fender mounting bolt located at the rear of the wheelhouse opening.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
11. Remove the side mirror trim panel located at the top rear portion of the fender to gain access to the fender mounting bolt.
12. Remove the fender mounting bolt.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
13. Remove the fender mounting nut.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
14. Remove the fender upper mounting bolts.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
15. Remove the fender.
16. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
