Engine

Installation (Steps 26-49)
26. Connect the fuel tubes. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
27. Position the ground cable and install the nut.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs).





28. Connect the 2 in-line electrical connectors.





29. Connect the generator electrical connectors and install the nut.
^ Tighten to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs).





30. Position the A/C compressor, the power steering pump and the mounting bracket as an assembly and install the bolts.
^ Tighten to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs).





31. Position the accessory drive belt tensioner and install the bolt.
^ Tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs).





32. Install the stud bolts.
^ Tighten to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs).





33. Position the wiring harness bracket and the ground strap and install the nuts.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs).





34. Connect the A/C compressor electrical connector and attach the wiring harness retainer.





35. Position the A/C suction/discharge tube and install the nut.
^ Tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs).





36. Connect the A/C tube at the accumulator.





37. NOTE: Install new O-ring seals.

Position the A/C manifold on the A/C compressor and install the bolt.
^ Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs).





38. Connect the heater hoses.





39. Install the radiator.
40. Install the fan shroud.
^ Position the fan shroud.
^ Install the bolts.
^ Tighten to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs).





41. CAUTION: The fan clutch has left-hand threads.

Using the special tool, install the fan clutch and the fan blade.





42. Install the accessory drive belt.
43. Install the upper intake manifold.
44. Install the hood.
45. Fill the engine with clean engine oil.
46. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
47. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.
48. Charge the A/C system. For additional information, refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.
49. Inspect the engine and cooling system for leaks.
