MIL ON - DTC P0462 IN MEMORY

This article supersedes TSB 07-2-10 to add a production fix date.
ISSUE
Some 2007 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine built before 2/28/2007 may illuminate a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0462 in memory and with no other symptoms. This will occur when the fuel tank is at or near empty.
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 47.3 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2007.1 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
