Test J: One Turn Signal/Hazard Lamp Is Inoperative/Always On
PINPOINT TEST J: ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS INOPERATIVE/ALWAYS ONJ1-J5:
Normal Operation - Except STX
The smart junction box (SJB) provides voltage to the indicator flasher relay through circuit CBP20 (YE/VT). The indicator flasher relay routes the voltage to the multifunction switch through circuit CLS42 (VT/BN). When the multifunction switch is placed in the LH or RH TURN position, the multifunction switch routes the voltage to the LH or RH front turn lamps through circuits CLS41 (GY/YE) and CLS39 (VT/WH), respectively. The multifunction switch also routes the voltage to the LH or RH rear lamps through the existing stoplamp circuitry. Ground for the indicator flasher relay is provided through circuit GD161 (BK/YE).

Possible Causes
- Circuit CLS39 (VT/WH) open or short to voltage
- Circuit CLS41 (GY/YE) open or short to voltage
- Circuit GD121 (BK/YE) open
- Circuit GD123 (BK/GY) open
- Multifunction switch
