Test A: The Parking Aid Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly

PINPOINT TEST A: THE PARKING AID IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation
The parking aid system is enabled when the ignition switch is in the RUN position and REVERSE (R) gear is selected. The parking aid module (PAM) supplies voltage to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1439 (BN/PK). The PAM supplies ground to the parking aid sensors on circuit 1440 (DG/YE). The PAM receives a signal from the parking aid sensors on circuits 1444 (DB/YE), 1443 (WH/LB), 1442 (DG/WH) and 1441 (WH/LG).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Parking aid sensor alignment
- Bumper
- Parking aid switch
- PAM
