Window Regulator Motor - Front Door

Removal and Installation

NOTE: The power window regulator motor must be re-initialized whenever the LF/RF (Navigator) or LF (Expedition) motor is removed from the vehicle.

1. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to .






2. Position the front door weathershield aside.

NOTE: Use a flat-blade screwdriver between the window regulator motor and window regulator assembly to hold the window regulator assembly drum in place.

3. Remove the bolts and the front door window regulator motor.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Remove the bolts.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).






4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Cycle the window glass to make sure the gears engage.
- The power window regulator motor must be re-initialized whenever the LF/RF (Navigator) or LF (Expedition) window regulator is removed from the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Window Motor Initialization Testing and Inspection.
