Test I: The Keyless Entry Keypad Illumination Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly

PINPOINT TEST I: THE KEYLESS ENTRY KEYPAD ILLUMINATION IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation
When the smart junction box (SJB) detects a keyless entry button pressed, the SJB provides voltage to the keyless entry keypad through circuit CPK28 (WH). Ground for the keyless entry keypad is provided through circuit GD143 (BK/VT).

- DTC B1624 (Lamp Keypad Output Open Circuit) - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects the keyless entry keypad illumination output circuit is open or shorted to voltage.
- DTC B1626 (Lamp Keypad Output Short Circuit To Ground) - is an on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects the keyless entry keypad illumination output circuit is shorted to ground.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Keyless entry keypad
- SJB
