Test E: The Individual Component Illumination Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST E: THE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT ILLUMINATION IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) sends a pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage to the dimmable components through circuits VLN04 (VT/GY) Navigator) and VLN18 (BU/WH) (Expedition). When the accessory delay relay energizes voltage is supplied to the door lock control switches on CBP41 (BU) (Expedition). The ground is provided through circuits GD138 (BK/WH), GD143 (BK/VT) and GD150 (BK/WH).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Adjustable pedal switch (if equipped)
- Ash receptacle (Navigator only)
- Auxiliary climate control assembly
- Clock (Navigator only)
- Door lock control switches
- Floor shifter (if equipped)
- Four wheel drive (4WD) switch (if equipped)
- Headlamp switch
- Message center switch (if equipped)
- Overhead console switches (if equipped)
- Power liftgate/traction control/hazard switch
- Power window control switch (Navigator only)
