Axle Assembly - Air Suspension











Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Deflate the rear air springs.
3. Remove the rear driveshaft assembly.
4. Remove the axle halfshafts.
5. Remove the rear sway bar.
6. Using a suitable jack, support the axle housing.





7. NOTE: Spare wheel removed for clarity.

Remove the 2 upper axle housing stud nuts.
^ To install, tighten to 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).





8. Remove the front torque arm bolt.
^ To install, tighten to 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).





9. NOTE: Move the axle housing forward to clear the rear mounting studs from the bushings.

Lower the axle housing from the vehicle.





10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
