HEATER CONTROL VALVE







Removal and Installation

Vehicles with 4.0L and oil cooler, without auxiliary climate control
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

All vehicles
2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. Disconnect the 2 inlet and outlet heater hose clamps.
4. Disconnect the heater control valve vacuum hose.

Vehicles with 4.0L and oil cooler, without auxiliary climate control
5. Remove the heater control valve bolt.

All vehicles
6. Remove the heater control valve.

7. NOTE: Lubricate the coolant hoses with plain water only if needed.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

8. Fill the engine cooling system.
