Test H: The Video System Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST H: THE VIDEO SYSTEM IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
Power is supplied to the rear entertainment module (RETM) through circuit 720 (RD/YE). Once the RETM is powered up, a signal is sent to the audio control module (ACM) through circuits 832 (LB/PK) and 833 (TN) so that communication between the ACM and RETM can begin. When a video DVD is inserted into the RETM and the PLAY button is pressed, an image should be displayed on the screen.

- DTC U2005 RICP (Audio Rear Integrated Control Panel Unit/RDM is Not Responding) - sets when communication between the ACM and RETM is lost.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- DVD play buttons disabled
- DVD or CD
- RETM
