Test C: Air Inlet Door Is Inoperative
PINPOINT TEST C: AIR INLET DOOR IS INOPERATIVENormal Operation
Under normal operation, the air inlet door actuator motors are supplied voltage or ground on circuit 1998 (DB/LG), depending on desired actuator rotation, by the HVAC module - electronic manual temperature control (EMTC) or HVAC module - electronic automatic temperature control (EATC). The HVAC module - EMTC or HVAC module - EATC then supplies the appropriate voltage or ground to the other side of the actuator motor on circuit 1999 (BN/OG).
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Air inlet door actuator
- HVAC module - EATC
- HVAC module - EMTC
- Stuck or bound linkage or door
