Test N: The Blower Motor Does Not Operate Correctly - HVAC Module - EATC
PINPOINT TEST N: THE BLOWER MOTOR DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY - HVAC MODULE - EATCNormal Operation
Under normal operation, the blower motor relay coil receives a ground from the HVAC module - electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) through circuit 461 (OG). The coil receives voltage through circuit 30-FA24 (RD/OG). Voltage is supplied to the relay contacts from circuit 30-FA24 (RD/OG). When the relay coil is energized, voltage is delivered to the blower motor and the blower motor control module through circuit 399 (BN/YE). Ground for the motor is provided through circuit 755 (BN/WH) from the blower control module. Ground for the blower control module is provided by circuit 57 (BK). The HVAC module - EATC sends a pulse width modulated signal to the blower control module through circuit 269 (LB/OG) to control the blower speed.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Blower motor control module
- HVAC module - EATC
